Job Summary:
DDI Southeast, a leading provider of HVAC services, is seeking a skilled and experienced AC Technician with a background in commercial and/or government HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in troubleshooting, Installing, maintaining, and repairing air conditioning systems in large-scale or specialized environments. We are looking for a team player with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in high-pressure situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, focusing on commercial and/or government settings.
- Perform diagnostics on air conditioning units and related systems, including cooling towers, ventilation.
- Ensure systems are running efficiently and in compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with clients regarding system issues, solutions, and maintenance needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC issues, often involving sophisticated control systems and multi-zone environments.
- Maintain accurate service records and reports.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal HVAC codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with other technicians, supervisors, and departments as needed to complete projects.
Prerequisites:

Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an HVAC technician, with significant experience in commercial or government environments (preferred).
- No criminal record
- Valid Florida Drivers license.
- Licensing/Certifications: EPA Certification (Section 608)
Skills:
- Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of HVAC systems, including but not limited to AC units, chillers, air handlers, and refrigeration systems.
- Experience with DDC (Direct Digital Controls) and building automation systems (BAS) is a plus.
- Familiarity with the installation and servicing of energy-efficient and environmentally friendly HVAC technologies.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with clients, contractors, and team members.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces, and handle various physical tasks associated with HVAC installations and repairs.
- Ability to work in various environments, including both indoor and outdoor settings, and in high or low temperatures as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience working on government contracts or large-scale commercial projects is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state HVAC regulations, safety standards, and security clearances for government work is a significant advantage.
