Paint Spray Booth

DDI Southeast provided all labor, design, materials, equipment, supervision, and quality control measures to demolish (3) existing paint booths and install one new cross-draft, pressurized, and climate-controlled paint spray booth. New booth design included breathing-air, pneumatics, fire suppression, 6-stage filtration and DDC connection into the building’s existing automation system.

HVAC & Water System Repair

Our team provided all the labor, material, equipment, supervision, and quality control necessary for modifications to the domestic hot water and HVAC systems serving NSA Orlando’s de Florez Complex at NSA Orlando, Florida.

FRCSE Fleet Readiness Center – Cecil Field B1845

Replace all High-Bat lighting

Collaborating with NAVFACSE, DDI assisted in developing the scope and logistics for an expedited contract to remove and replace all High-Bat lighting with LED fixtures and remove existing epoxy coatings on the hangar bay floors. Once existing coatings were removed, DDI applied a new 40-mil low VOC Tennant epoxy system to the 42,000sf facility without impeding ongoing aircraft modifications on the production floor. This was accomplished from proposal to completion in 39 days, by constant coordination with FRCSE management, extended working hours, rehearsals, and quality control measures. DDI supplied labor, materials, equipment, quality control, supervision, safety, and environmental services for this contract with 39% self-performance.

Replace Windows and Exhaust Fans

DDI supplied labor, materials, transportation, equipment, supervision, and quality control as necessary to remove and properly dispose of 140 windows. Installed approximately 140 new custom fabricated replacement windows on the 2nd and 3rd floors to include framing, fabricating metal, painting window flashing and trim; installed 10 exhaust fans including electrical tie-in, wall and trim repairs; removed and replaced exterior doors located on 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor decks, and replaced trim and paint.

Modify IDEA Lab Chilled Water

DDI provided labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to modify and replace the IDEA lab chilled water HVAC units in rooms 3025 & 3027.

CCAFS NOTU

Chiller and Remote Condenser Replacement

DDl’s team provided all the labor, equipment, materials, and quality control to replace the existing 67-ton helical chiller located at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. This chiller replacement included enlarging the chiller and remote condensing unit to 90-ton capacity. Included with the new chiller package was the replacement of all ancillary components and replacing the existing CW pumps and eclectic motor starters. DDI incorporated a Trane BACnet interface in the new chiller drive for future control expansion.

Roofing

DDI Southeast provided the design, architectural drawings, supervision, safety, equipment, labor and materials needed to tear off the existing roofs on four separate buildings located at the base water treatment facility, and install new ISO tapered roofing systems that increased the insulation rating from the existing roofs by 400%. By introducing this system to our customer, we were able to reduce the down time of the building and save the government on energy costs for the buildings for years to come.

New Building

This was truly a “turn-key” project where DDI provided all design-build, site-work, architectural drawings, engineering, permitting, supervision, quality control, labor and materials to construct a new 8100sq office building with custom details throughout. This was a time sensitive project concerning eminent domain in Florida and the entire project was completed in just 119 days in April 2018.

Chiller & AHU Replacement

DDI Southeast provided the equipment, labor, materials, and quality control to upgrade the existing HVAC chiller to 155-tons to accommodate the additional 30-ton chilled water AHUs installed by DDI. DDI also reworked the chilled water piping to allow for temporary chiller redundancy. Our team removed the existing inoperable 20- and 10-ton DX systems with standalone controls. DDI updated the existing controls to Trans BACnet to allow for remote monitoring of the systems. Supply and return were reconfigured to allow for smoke sensors and fire dampers. This project was phased in specific order to coincide with a scheduled shutdown of the food court at the NEX.

Renovate Building

DDI Southeast provided the supervision, quality control, safety, labor, equipment and materials to renovate Building 1011, FR CSE. This scope included resurfacing and epoxy of the floors, repairs to masonry walls, asbestos removal, lead abatement, re-roofing, new awnings, new metal siding, painting, new windows and extensive structural repairs to the existing roof deck and supports. Project was completed 36 days ahead of schedule.

Exterior Renovations

DDI Southeast provided all materials, equipment, quality control, supervision and labor required to complete the exterior renovations to an 80,000sq storage facility. Our team provided assistance with the scope of work to include architectural drawings and the design for the 1,700sf of top floor framing and change out of 490 (3’x5′) glass panels weighing approximately 80 pounds each. This project included exterior repairs and painting of the entire building, door replacement and asphalt repairs. This project was completed 30 days ahead of schedule.

Installing new “HVAC Make-up Air”

DDI Southeast was tasked with designing and installing a new “HVAC Make-up Air” unit to integrate with the existing HVAC system that would provide a reheat coil to allow for humidity control and provide fresh makeup air to the existing closed system. This new MAU also required installing a new VFD and Trane controls for user automation. To improve the indoor air quality within the 5 story building, DDI Southeast provided test and balance services and cleaned all the metal HVAC ductwork within the common areas as well as the 80 rooms within the Fairway-Inn. DDI provided all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and quality control measures to complete this project 18 days ahead of schedule in November 2019.

200-Ton Chiller Replacement

DDI Southeast provided all labor, equipment, materials, and quality control to remove and replace one air cooled 200-ton HVAC chiller and VFD drive. This entailed enlarging the existing concrete equipment pad to accept the new chiller’s larger footprint. DDI also replaced the existing 400-amp electric feeder supplying power to the chiller and drive. Front end upgrades were made on the existing Trane controls as well. This project was accomplished over a long weekend to minimize the effects on the customer.

CCFS

DDI provided labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to replace chilled water air handler unit at GTB NOTU, install variable frequency drives to existing chilled water pumps, convert existing building controls from Pneumatic to new DOC system, replace two 10-ton chilled water server room units, and resimulate all make-up air ductwork.

Relocate interior walls and install two Liebert split HVAC systems

DOI Southeast provided the labor, materials, equipment, supervision and quality control measures to relocate interior walls within an existing server room and install two new 3-ton Liebert split HVAC systems with electric reheat to allow for separate humidity control. This required installing a new 100-amp electrical feeder and subsequent circuits for each new unit. Once the new units were roughed-in, new drywall, finishes, paint, trim, and ceiling grid and tiles were provided and installed. This requirement was completed 68 days ahead of schedule in September 2019.

Lake George Ranger District Office

Replace geothermal HVAC systems

DDI provided all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to replace (5) geothermal HVAC systems with new 17 Seer variable-speed, high-efficiency, inverter series heat pumps and controls. The controls were upgraded to the Econet system that allows for remote monitoring and control of each system individually or collectively. This project was phased to limit the effects on the customer’s production within the offices and completed 14 days after receiving the notice to proceed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Emeritus Assisted Living Facility

Remove and Replace Water Drainage

DDI Southeast provided the design, engineering, D.O.T. safety, supervision, quality control, labor, equipment and materials to remove and replace the underground storm water drainage system that was in disrepair under the existing parking lot and property. Once the replacement was completed, DDI capped the existing 128,000 square ft of parking lot and replaced all D.O.T. aprons. Installed new asphalt and striping to current code.

Modernize the Sonobuoy Testing Lab

DDI provided all labor, material, equipment, quality control, and supervision necessary to modernize the Sonobuoy testing lab in support of the P-8 Poseidon. This included multiple dedicated electrical circuits and high pressure pneumatics for each testing center.
